Revamping the Chicago Bears offensive line is a priority

The tackle position actually appears to be solved for the future. Last year, it didn’t look too promising with the team having to bring in aging veteran Jason Peters and roll with Germain Ifedi at times, too.

But, second-round pick Teven Jenkins finally made his return from back surgery and looked the part. He looked like a rookie at times but also had some strong reps on tape. Jenkins should be a starter going forward, as should fifth-round pick Larry Borom from a year ago.

However, this is also Poles’ baby. The offensive line is going to be ultra-important to him going forward, and you can never have enough talent there. That’s why Tyrese Robinson makes sense here in the sixth round.

The former Sooner stands 6-foot-3 and weighs around 315 pounds.

Finding a player like Robinson in the sixth also feels like a bit of a steal, but he was available in this mock (PFF Mock Draft Simulator). Robinson plays with a nasty mentality and looks to finish. But, he’s also intelligent. He’s handled multiple rushers at one time and done it with that of a veteran’s savviness.

Getting Robinson in the building to offer some depth at tackle would be an excellent selection for Poles.
