Now, the fun truly begins. The Chicago Bears embark on quite a journey in an already monumental offseason.

For the first time, it appears as though the Bears will see George McCaskey and Ted Phillips take a step back. New general manager Ryan Poles has been empowered to run his show, and already he has assembled what looks like a phenomenal staff.

In head coach Matt Eberflus, it’s clear that Poles wanted someone who was a leader of men and a coach who could instill discipline but do it the right way. Eberflus’ approach seems to be one of toughness but also backed by his love for his players.

The rest of the staff has come together and looks like it should be one to get the most out of quarterback Justin Fields. New offensive coordinator Luke Getsy (pictured above) will run an offense schemed towards his players’ strengths. Meanwhile, Alan Williams is going to get the most out of his defense and is focused on takeaways.

The brand-new Chicago Bears staff is ready to move forward and could be bringing some key free agents with them

With a new staff comes plenty of speculation as free agency is set to kick off March 16. The Bears have new faces in leadership from a few different teams, and whenever a situation like this arises, some players will follow their coaches.

Poles and company will have a pretty decent amount of money to work with, and could have even more should they decide to cut one or more of a few particular players. Free agency will be the first step in not only surrounding Fields with the right talent and protection, but also filling in the gaps on defense.

With how players have spoken about Poles, Eberflus, Williams and Getsy, do not be surprised if any of the following pending free agents join the Bears in a few weeks.
