The Chicago Bears could pursue free agent wide receiver Davante Adams

Of course, no conversation such as this one is complete without mentioning the top free agent prize of this offseason. It’s Davante Adams, and it’s not close. He is, by far and away, the top free agent available, regardless of position.

After years of tormenting the Bears, Adams coming to Chicago would be a long shot. However, the relationship he has with Getsy is not one to take lightly. Getsy would be the Bears’ only chance of getting a conversation with Adams in free agency, but my oh my, it would be quite the sight to see him sign a contract with Chicago.

Fields’ development would be expedited in a hurry if he had a receiver like Adams. Any quarterback would love to be able to throw it up to a guy like Adams, knowing there was a good possibility he comes down with the ball.

While the Packers are reportedly trying to do everything in their power to keep Rodgers and Adams, it’s all going to come down to whether or not the quarterback wants to stay in Green Bay.

If Rodgers leaves or retires, then Adams’ future is as up in the air as it ever has been — and that gives the Bears a fighting chance.
