Trade Number 1: The Chicago Bears acquire Jarvis Landry in a reasonable deal

In this first deal, Poles could try to get creative in trading for Landry. Keep in mind, if the Browns move on, they can cut him for a minimal loss. If Poles wanted to try his hand at something a bit sneaky, he could attempt something like this.

Here, we would see the Bears not only receive Landry but a seventh-rounder this year (pick 221) in exchange for their fifth-round pick, no. 147. Being able to keep the same number of draft picks, overall, would be a massive win for Poles.

It may be a bit fairer for the Bears to offer a fourth-rounder in this scenario, but they do not have one this year. Still, a fifth-rounder is a decent enough return for Cleveland, if they’re looking at potentially losing him for nothing.

Adding Landry would mean the Bears have a legitimate slot receiver who can get open with ease, and whose catch radius knows no bounds. Landry has gone for over 100 receptions twice in his career, and would immediately become Justin Fields’ best friend as a comfy security blanket.
