The Chicago Bears should watch Joshua Ezeudu at the 2022 NFL Combine

Junior

College: North Carolina

Height: 6’4”

Weight: 325 lbs

Best trait: Positional versatility

Lastly, one guy to keep an eye on who could see his stock jump is North Carolina’s Joshua Ezeudu. The junior lineman projects best as a guard at the pro level, but what makes him intriguing as a prospect is his ability to play tackle as well. He has true positional versatility, which would give the Bears an advantage should an injury occur.

Ezeudu is a big, tall frame with decent strength. He is a better athlete than most in his class, but he also needs to work on his technique. Ezeudu has the raw makings of an NFL starter, but some polish here and there would make him a sure-fire talent in this class.

Handling quicker pass rushers isn’t a problem for Ezeudu, as he has very nice hip movement and footwork. Because of this athleticism, he’s also a candidate to pull when needed. He’s great at getting out in space and looks to get to the second level.

If Ezeudu can improve his hand technique, that’s what will do wonders for him. With Getsy and his new staff, maybe they could take a mid-round pick and turn him into a starter.
