With their first pick in the fourth round, the Bears go back to the defensive side of the ball, showing some balance here. Chicago takes Central Michigan cornerback Dishon McNary at pick No. 113, giving them a guy who can come in right away and compete for a starting spot.

McNary is a 6-foot-1 corner with good length and ball skills. He is a highly reactive player who can anticipate routes well and go after the football. With his size and reactionary skills, McNary is one to watch for when it comes to potentially switching positions. He very well could be asked to switch to safety once he’s in the NFL, and for the Bears, that would be a good option as well.

The Bears need a starting corner and starting safety at the moment, so wherever Alan Williams feels comfortable placing McNary would likely be a fine decision.

What’s nice about McNary’s skillset is the fact that he fits best in a zone scheme, should he stick at cornerback. In Eberflus’ system, that means McNary would be able to play to his strengths.
