We come to another trade, but this time it’s a move up for the Bears, who need another interior offensive lineman. Who knows how the Bears will approach free agency when it comes to their offensive line, but adding another one here in the fourth would do them justice no matter what.

In this deal, the Bears send their fifth-round picks to Cleveland in exchange for pick No. 115 in the fourth round. With that pick, the Bears go with Virginia Tech guard Lecitus Smith.

Smith is one of those guards with a nasty mentality, who looks to finish his man on every snap. Think of him as a similar player to Teven Jenkins — attitude-wise at least. Smith’s aim, every down, is to put his man on the ground, and that’s something Poles is definitely after with his next offensive linemen.

Remember, Poles has talked about that instance of Fields hitting the ground hard and only one lineman coming over to defend their quarterback. He knows what type of players this line had last year, and he doesn’t want them. Smith is going to be a guy who plays nasty on every down and will defend his quarterback. You can bet on that.
