Chicago Bears draft prospects who dominated Combine: LB Troy Andersen

One prospect who is kind of all over the place in terms of where he is mocked, Montana State’s Troy Andersen proved what kind of player he is at this year’s Combine.

Andersen is one of the draft’s most interesting prospects. As a former quarterback, Andersen possesses a lot of different athletic abilities. Andersen stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 243 pounds, but showed excellent quickness during his workout.

Maybe the most impressive part of his workout was the 4.43 he ran in the 40-yard dash. To put that into perspective, Andersen could keep up with Justin Fields in a foot race.

Andersen is the type of player who will stop at nothing until the whistle blows — again, the type of player Eberflus would want on his defense. He’s still relatively inexperienced at linebacker, but Andersen is worth taking the chance on.

This is a player who could be used in all three phases if need be. He might start out as a special teams ace, but Andersen has the potential to be a starter at linebacker in the NFL. He’s a downhill runner and a pretty sound tackler for someone who just started playing the position in recent years. Look for Anderson to have a shot at going late Day 2 or early Day 3.
