With a new coaching staff and a new front office, the Chicago Bears are about to set for some change. They have plenty of players on the back end of their roster that will not be here in 2022 and they have some big questions to make on other free agents and high-end cap players.

With that in mind, this is not a team that can hold off many needs for the NFL draft. With that In mind, what are the five positions that they can not wait for, and have to address in the next couple of weeks?

5. The Chicago Bears need multiple Linebackers

The Chicago Bears obviously have Roquan Smith, but beyond that, you could argue the room is completely bare. Danny Trevathan is still signed but is likely to be let go in a cost-saving move. Caleb Johnson is signed but is a potential practice squad or 53rd guy.

The team is going to want four or five linebackers so that means that they will be adding three or four guys into the mix this offseason. They could draft someone, and even find someone as a UDFA to compete with Johnson for that fifth spot.

Still, they likely will need to sign one or two guys at minimum, because they lack draft assets and have bigger needs.

Names such as Anthony Hitchens, Anthony Walker, Damien Wilson, and Zaire Franklin all have connections to the front office and coaching staff and could be filling out the depth chart. Considering Matt Eberflus is a former linebacker coach you know he will want his hands on the type of players that they bring in.
