Should the Chicago Bears draft Kellen Diesch?

It is interesting to note that Brady Christensen was selected at pick 70 and is the closest NFL comparison for Kellen Diesch. That is because the Chicago Bears just so happen to pick 71st overall in this draft. With that in mind, we will discuss this as if he were the 71st pick.

If that is the case, the outcome of a swing tackle who could reasonably start at four positions has to be considered a decent bet at that spot. The Chicago Bears have said that they want to bring in the best lineman, regardless of position. They will let things sort themselves out in camp.

The team has also said that they want to run teams out off of the field, and having one of the fastest tackle prospects in the draft fall to them would fit the identity that the team wants. Ryan Poles say he wants nasty finishers, and while Diesch has some physicality to his game, that may be the biggest question in terms of fit with the Chicago Bears.

The rest says that they may see is the length and guard projection as a reason why a fall to 71 is good enough for them. It would be adding speed, depth, and a lot of upside to the Chicago Bears offensive line room.
