The Green Bay Packers could be the worst of the three for the Chicago Bears
Now comes the Chicago Bears’ biggest rival — the Green Bay Packers. The Packers recently traded arguably the best wide receiver in the league to the Las Vegas Raiders. Davante Adams was franchise-tagged and told the Packers he would not play on the tag. Rather than deal with that situation, the Packers traded Adams to the Raiders where he will play with his college quarterback and friend, Derek Carr.
The Packers received a 2022 first-round pick (22) and a 2022 second-round pick (53) in the trade. This now gives the Packers two first-round picks in the 2022 NFL Draft and more specifically, it gives Green Bay two picks before the Chicago Bears are able to select their first pick at 39 overall. The Packers now have picks 22 and 28 in the first round.
With the 22nd-overall pick in the draft, the Green Bay Packers were linked to a linebacker, offensive tackle, and defensive tackle most often. Specifically, the team selected Devin Lloyd, linebacker out of Utah, Trevor Penning, offensive tackle out of Northern Iowa, and finally, Jordan Davis, defensive tackle out of Georgia. I am very high on Penning and would hate to see him go to Green Bay. That said, it’s hard to call him a snipe since he isn’t falling to the second.
The mock drafts had the Packers selecting a wide receiver often. The position came up more often with the 28th-overall pick, but there were a decent amount of Chris Olave selections at both 22 and 28 — more often at 28. This would be tough to see happen as many Chicago Bears fans would love to see Olave paired back up with Justin Fields despite that possibility being nearly impossible. Other receivers the Packers selected often in these mock drafts were Jahan Dotson out of Penn State, Drake London out of USC and Treylon Burks out of Arkansas.

Top 5 realistic wide receiver options for Chicago Bears in 2022 NFL Draft
Without a first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, which wide receiver prospects are the best options for the Chicago Bears?
With wide receiver being a position of need, seeing so many selected in the first round and early second round is a tough pill to swallow. The Chicago Bears would be lucky to see any of the following receivers fall to them at 39 — George Pickens – Georgia, Christian Watson – North Dakota State or Skyy Moore – Western Michigan. The right thing to do though is select the best player available and not draft solely for need.
