The wide receivers were flowing off of the board fast and furiously on Thursday night. The Atlanta Falcons started things off with Drake London at pick eight, and then whether it be picks or trades, the run started. By the end, two big names were traded, and six wideouts were drafted.

However, after the Tennessee Titans traded A.J. Brown and wound up with Treylon Burks, the run kind of stopped. We knew there was a top-five or six, and with Jahan Dotson and Treylon Burks completing the top six, there seems to be an obvious tier break before the next run.

After six wideouts went from picks eight through 18, none went from 19 to 32. The question is when will the next wide receiver go?

Will Chicago Bears draft a WR?

While it did not help the Chicago Bears that six wideouts went so early, the top of the second round may help things.

Here are the teams who draft before Chicago

Tampa Bay

Minnesota

Tennessee

New York Giants

Houston

New York Jets

When we look into those teams we see that the Bucs have Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, and signed Russell Gage. Minnesota has Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson.

The Titans just drafted Treylon Burks, and the Jets just drafted Garrett Wilson. All of a sudden the Texans and Giants are in between the Beard and the top wideout in round two.

The Giants have a new regime so anything is possible. However, they have Kenny Golladay signed, they have Kadarius Toney on a rookie deal, and they just re-worked Sterling Shephard’s deal which makes him hard to move.

The Texans could go wide receiver. They did extend Brandin Cooks and have Nico Collins on a rookie deal, but that is all they have in this area, and they could add a bit more. Still, that could be said about every position when it comes to the Texans.

Next. Mocking Picks 33-39. dark

With this in mind, the odds are starting to look good that the Bears could be taking their pick of the next wide receiver at pick 39?

Who do you want, the usual suspects are George Pickens, Skyy Moore, Christian Watson, and Jalen Tolbert.
