As we are getting into the dead season of the NFL schedule we are officially in ranking season. With that, we are going to rank each position room in the NFC North and see where the Chicago Bears sit.

Remember, we are looking at the entire room, depth included, as injuries are prevalent. Where do the Chicago Bears rank?

4. Chicago Bears: Justin Fields, Trevor Siemian, Nathan Peterman

The potential of Justin Fields could eventually put the Chicago Bears in the top two of the division. Still, it is hard to rank him based on his potential after his rookie season. It is easy and fair to blame Matt Nagy for the rookie season struggles that Justin Fields had to endure.

At the same time, there were things he did on tape that at least have to make you pause. While a new coaching staff will help, there are now questions about the skill players and help around him and Fields could fight uphill battles during his first two seasons.

Beyond that, this is a room ranking, and Siemian is a fine backup but does not boost the room up, and Peterman does nothing to impact them as well. If anything, you would have liked to see Chicago add a backup like Josh Johnson, who has been able to use his mobility and could have helped Fields in the room for things like that. The two backups are not the same style as Fields.
