Now that we are beyond OTAs it is the beginning of rankings season. With that, we will be ranking where the Chicago Bears stand in the NFC North. This series will go position-by-position and rank the NFC North.

Remember, this is a ranking of the rooms and not a ranking of who is the best wide receiver. This means that depth and starters going all the way from one to three should all be factored into the ranking. Where does the Chicago Bears WR room rank?

4. Chicago Bears: Darnell Mooney, Byron Pringle, Velus Jones, Equanimious St. Brown, Dante Pettis, David Moore

Listen, we are just doing a ranking of the rooms, do not come at me like I am trying to attack the receiver room. You can argue about whether it is the worst, bottom five, bottom ten, or whatever, in the ranking of NFC North wide receivers, they are at the bottom.

To be fair, the Lions’ number one wide out is a question, and the Packers’ number one is Allen Lazard, who is not as good as Darnell Mooney. Still, the Bears are scrapping together their depth.

All Chicago Bears fans wanted Christian Watson over Velus Jones, and there are plenty of questions about what Byron Pringle can bring. If he was struggling to beat out Demarcus Robinson, and he did not light up the stats with Patrick Mahomes, what can be brought to Chicago?

Dante Pettis and David Moore arguably have the most name value of their long list of depth performers. Still, they have been on multiple teams in the past 12 months, to give you insight into how they are valued. The number one may not be the worst, but the depth brings a lot of questions.
