The Chicago Bears are making moves. Could 2022 be better than many fans are thinking? Alright, let’s not get too crazy. I do believe the team finds a way to surprise some people. With a weaker schedule this season and many unknowns, this team could end up winning anywhere from four games to 10. I personally have the Bears winning eight games in 2022 and just missing the playoffs. Ryan Poles trading a 2024 seventh-round pick for N’Keal Harry is not moving that needle.

I already took to the roster and determined three players I believe are losers in this trade. Not all of them will see the impact of this deal, but I think that adding N’Keal Harry to the roster will make their lives more difficult. I only had one of the three making the final roster anyway and I also had one making the practice squad. I have a feeling that Harry ruins both of their chances of making the final 53-man roster.

The N’Keal Harry trade gives us insight into the 2022 plans of the Chicago Bears

At this point, there’s no point in truly trying to understand the inner workings of Ryan Poles’ mind and decisions this offseason. The team has a large amount of cap space to spend but appears to be rolling it over into 2023 despite already being projected to have the most salary cap space by a significant margin. We can only assume that Ryan Poles and the Bears have big plans in store for next season, but what about this year? What should we expect from this team for 2022?

Now, this is purely speculation. I have no insider knowledge as to what this team is going to do for the rest of the offseason. However, we can at least infer what a trade for N’Keal Harry means to this team and it could give us some insight as to what to expect from the Chicago Bears in 2022.
