Chicago Bears who need a dominant training camp: Lamar Jackson, CB
I recently wrote about Lamar Jackson having a valid shot at making the final roster due to some inferior competition on the backend of the cornerback depth chart. Lamar Jackson is another name that many thought would be drafted. However, in 2020, Jackson went undrafted and landed with the New York Jets.
In his first season, Jackson actually started six games and had some up and down performances. He kept his opponents to less than a 61% completion percentage, but he was on the hook for five touchdowns. Those five touchdowns he gave up led to quarterbacks enjoying a 128.4 QB rating while throwing in Jackson’s direction.
Speculating what the Chicago Bears trading for N’Keal Harry really means
The Chicago Bears have made a trade for wide receiver, N'Keal Harry. We speculate what this trade really means for this team.
Lamar Jackson lost his starting spot in 2021 and didn’t see a single defensive snap. His only time on the field came on special teams. If he wants to make the Bears’ final roster, he is going to need to have a dominant training camp. If he struggles along with the others on the backend of the roster, it’s possible the team brings in a training camp casualty instead.
