15. Khalil Herbert

Last Year: 40

It is disappointing that it took injuries to David Montgomery and Damien Williams for the Chicago Bears to see what Herbert had, but now that fans and teams saw him, he may be hard to put back into the bottle.

The Bears have a big decision to make with David Montgomery, and they may want to see Herbert get some extra rushes this year before making that call. This could make him a key member of the offense.

14. Larry Borom

Last Year: 39

Larry Borom sits ahead of Braxton Jones for two main reasons. One is that he could start at right or left tackle this season, and the other is that he is in his second NFL season. Still, we could easily see Borom as the odd man out with Jones at left tackle and Teven Jenkins on the right side.

13. Teven Jenkins

Last Year: 17

All reports are that Teven Jenkins has been working behind Borom and Jones. Still, we need to see it play out in training camp before pushing Jenkins down. He is still a former second-round pick, and most of his rookie year was wiped out due to injury. Perhaps the message to Jenkins has been sent, and he still is in line to finish as the top tackle.

The reality is that even if he is the third tackle, the negative impact of having a second-round pick beat out by two-day-three players is enough to keep him this high on the list.

12. Cole Kmet

Last Year: 15

2020 Ranking: 26

Cole Kmet is seeing his slow ascent up the roster from 26 to 15 and now to number 12 overall. The Bears exchanging Jimmy Graham and Jesper Horsted for Ryan Griffin and James O’Shaugnnesy should be very telling.

Kmet went from the worst pass catcher and best blocker to he worst blocker and best pass catcher just by the names changing around him. This should impact his role for the better.

11. Lucas Patrick

The Chicago Bears believe they have something in Lucas Patrick. Luke Getsy obviously approves and this appears to be the signing he pushed the most for. Adding a center that knows the offense better than the quarterback can go a long way in helping the quarterback.

If the Bears hit this signing, it could go a long way in impacting them.
