Reports have surfaced that Teven Jenkins is not impressing the new regime at training camp in 2022. He was running with the second team at OTAs in July and has not practiced at camp in almost a week. According to reports from camp, despite having raw talent there are serious character and maturity issues. Jenkins has to prove his worth to the new staff in a matter of days to stay on the Chicago Bears roster. Here are some potential trade suitors for the Bears to call in the next few days.

There are plenty of teams in need of a tackle that can take a flier on Teven Jenkins. The Titans, Steelers, Raiders, Jets, and Chargers are all in need of offensive line help, more specifically, help to protect the edge.

The Chargers are certainly the best team out of this bunch, and have a top-tier talent at tackle with Rashawn Slater, but need to protect the right side of Justin Herbert. Steelers star running back, Najee Harris had a great year last season despite poor and inconsistent offensive line play. If they can improve their offensive line while in camp, I can only imagine the kind of year he will have.

The Las Vegas Raiders make the most sense out of all the teams on this list though. The Raiders had one of the worst offensive lines in all of football last season. With the pass rush talent in the AFC West, they should be looking to add to their current tackle situation while in a win-now mode. Derek Carr now has elite weapons to make a playoff push but continues to play with revolving doors at both tackle spots.

Considering Ian Rappaport has already leaked that the Chicago Bears have received and are listening to calls regarding Teven Jenkins, he is probably gone. The return will not be great either given his extensive back injuries. Not to mention, teams are going to question a bottom-third offensive line team looking to trade a former second-round pick after just one year.

The Chicago Bears could recoup a late-round pick, with some conditions to make the pick slightly higher if he plays this year. I see a Jenkins trade looking very similar to the trade the Bears made for N’Keal Harry back in July. Considering the reports coming out of camp that the new regime is fed up with him and his injury history.

The Chicago Bears should look to get any draft picks they can for Jenkins, as his spot on this roster is not secure with new general manager Ryan Poles and new head coach Matt Eberflus. You can throw Teven Jenkins into the long list of wasted draft picks by former general manager Ryan Pace, as Teven Jenkins looks to be tackle depth for the Chicago Bears this year at best.
