Must-watch Chicago Bears in preseason Week 1: Equanimeous St. Brown, WR

Look, we already know and have seen what Darnell Mooney can do. What I want to see is if Equanimeous St. Brown looks as sharp in a game as he has been looking in training camp. I want to see if St. Brown was truly held back by a disgruntled Aaron Rodgers as rumors have suggested.

This team needs wide receiver help and if St. Brown can establish himself as a legit second or even a third option in this offense, that’s a win for Luke Getsy who clearly impacted the decision to bring St. Brown into the fold.

I also want to see how Justin Fields utilizes the tall receiver. We saw how Fields was hesitant to throw 50/50 balls at times to Allen Robinson because he didn’t consider him open. Will we see something similar with St. Brown who is easily the tallest receiver on the team? St. Brown has also had some slight drop issues in the past and I’m hoping he proves he can overcome them.

If Velus Jones, Jr. wasn’t hurt I’d probably have listed him here instead. Jones is not likely to play tomorrow.
