Must-watch Chicago Bears in preseason Week 1: Jaquan Brisker, S

I think it’s safe to say that we all want to see what Jaquan Brisker brings to the table. Just like the other starters though, he probably won’t see much action. I’m going to give a mention here for Kyler Gordon too and technically you get a freebie here as I mention both rookies.

Both Brisker and Gordon are already slotted into the starting spots at safety and corner. Therefore, they will not see much playing time tomorrow. That shouldn’t matter though. This team needs to get a glimpse of their second-round investments — especially since George Pickens is heating up Steelers camp. Many wanted Pickens at 48 overall instead of Brisker. These two will make for an interesting pair to watch throughout their careers. Hopefully, they both become studs.

The important part regarding Jaquan Brisker is his ability to make Eddie Jackson better too. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Brisker looks to be a better version of Adrian Amos. He’s an in-the-box type of safety who can also get his hands on the ball. I’d expect more than two interceptions per season — the most Amos has had in a season throughout his five-year career. Kyler Gordon is also a ball hawk, but I want to see him hold coverages as well.
