Jack Sanborn locked up a roster spot with the Chicago Bears vs Chiefs

Arguably the best player for the Chicago Bears today was Jack Sanborn. Sanborn was all over the place today and I think this performance was enough to guarantee he makes the final roster.

Sanborn finished with five tackles and was flying around the field. He also came away with an interception and a fumble recovery.

Coming away with takeaways is what Matt Eberflus emphasizes and I am sure he is happy with what he saw from the undrafted free agent (UDFA) out of Wisconsin. I know I had some fun with it on social media stating that he might be the best UDFA to sign with a team this offseason.

To help his case, he was even making plays on special teams. He came away with a nice tackle on a punt return to keep the Chiefs deep in their own territory. I noticed Sanborn while I attended training camp too. He was a player that stood out to me on multiple occasions. Sanborn could help soften the blow should the Bears not figure things out with Roquan Smith too.

No, he’s not going to replace him from a talent standpoint but can be a valuable asset nonetheless.
