2.  Chicago Bears lined up Darnell Mooney in the slot

On the reception, Justin Fields found Darnell Mooney who was lined up in the slot. What is interesting to note is that Mooney played 80% of his snaps in the slot. During his rookie season he spent 20% in the slot, and last season it was bumped up to 43%.

It is not like Mooney will actually play 80% of his snaps in the slot, but what it does show is that Luke Getsy is going to move him around and put him into different positions than Matt Nagy.

We all know that Nagy was not creative enough with getting Mooney open and move him around. Seeing Mooney doing things that he did not do in past years, but also be aligned in ways that he was not last year shows not only that he is ready to grow as a player, but that the coaches are ready for him to take that step.

This is as much of an impressive play by Mooney as it is for Getsy.
