1. Micah Dew-Treadway

One of the biggest notes from the Chicago Bears’ initial depth chart was that Micah Dew-Tredway was ahead of Mike Pennel on the depth chart. After some thought, it at least made sense in the fact that Pennel is a nose tackle without a lot of versatility while Dew-Treadway is more of a three-technique who can move up and down the defensive line.

Dew-Tredway played 15 defensive snaps on Saturday and recorded a sack. His performance was not quite to the point where other teams are on notice and he will not make the practice squad, but his reputation is growing.

Then, there is the defensive line depth. There is not much behind Angelo Blackson, Justin Jones, and Khyiris Tonga. With Mario Edwards on the edge, it is coming down to names such as Mike Pennel, Lacale London, and Dew-Treadway. It is not a stretch to see Dew-Treadway taking that step to the roster.
