Should Chicago Bears make a change at right tackle?

Riley Reiff suffered a shoulder injury that had him out for the game. He was deemed questionable to return, so the severity was not as big as Jackson’s. Still, he did not return, so that gives you an update on where he stands.

Larry Borom came in and did not play too well, although this is a tougher spot to be in than starting and preparing all week. Still, the injury status of Reiff brings an interesting question about where the team can turn to at right tackle.

The Chicago Bears have almost needed a reason to play Alex Leatherwood. Leatherwood had an illness early in the season to slow down his progress, but he is healthy and in the mix now.

The team made him inactive, so he could not play when Borom missed time. Still, it may be time to activate him. Leatherwood is a former first-round pick, and the team may as well see what they have in him.

If he falls all over himself, it is no big deal. Riley Reiff is not the future. There is no need to rush him back unless they have no other options. We have seen Larry Borom at right tackle, and now we want to see someone else get a shot in a season that does not matter.

The injury to Reiff may be the perfect time to get Alex Leatherwood some chances.
