The Chicago Bears were also helped in a way by these other teams

I would be hard-pressed to not include a few other teams that won and moved the needle further away from the Chicago Bears’ current pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. These teams were playing in games that didn’t feel like upsets compared to the first three games I discussed.

Oakland Raiders defeat the Seattle Seahawks

The Oakland Raiders squeaked out a victory and moved to 4-7 on the season. This was another exciting finish as the Raiders won 40-34 in overtime.

Pittsburgh Steelers defeat the Indianapolis Colts

Mike Tomlin is going to see his team finish with a losing season for the first time in his career. That’s quite impressive seeing this is his 16th season. Technically, the team can still finish above .500 but it will take a miracle. It wasn’t a miracle that the Steelers beat the Colts on Monday Night Football, but that win put the Steelers one game above the Chicago Bears in the win column.

In Week 13, the Bears will face the Green Bay Packers. I don’t see how Green Bay loses this game — especially if Justin Fields doesn’t suit up. A Packers victory would put two games between the Bears and their rival from the NFC North. I’m not for tanking, but these losses the Bears keep having should help Ryan Poles turn this team around faster than many people realized.
