At this point in the offseason, the Chicago Bears' roster feels settled. They've filled out their major areas of need and have shifted their focus toward training camp.

But if the right offer comes in for an expendable player, general manager Ryan Poles might be open for business. Cornerback Tyrique Stevenson is entering the final year of his rookie deal, and all signs point to the Bears letting him walk in 2027. The 26-year-old has had a rollercoaster of a career so far, but he's still a capable starter. However, the addition of rookie Malik Muhammad makes him a trade candidate.

Still, Chicago won't be quick to trade him away, given the depth he brings to their cornerback room. But if Poles receives a strong enough offer, he could be willing to move on from the polarizing defender.

3 trade offers to pry Tyrique Stevenson away from Bears

Most modern NFL trades are centered around draft capital, rather than the old player-for-player model. If Stevenson is moved, his value will likely sit around that of an early Day 3 pick.

The Los Angeles Chargers have survived with less-than-ideal talent at cornerback in recent years, but Jesse Minter is no longer there to prop the defensive backs up. If Jim Harbaugh and Joe Hortiz aren't comfortable with their current cornerback depth chart, they could be willing to pay up for Stevenson.

Admittedly, we went a little off the rails with this one. The Pittsburgh Steelers might be open to moving on from edge rusher Alex Highsmith, though, especially after extending Nick Herbig. They also have a need for depth at cornerback, even after signing veteran Jamel Dean in free agency.

Alex Highsmith would finally solve the Bears' need for a pass rusher. He put up 9.5 sacks last year in just 13 games and already has a double-digit-sack season under his belt. It would take significant draft capital from Chicago to sweeten the deal, but the juice might be worth the squeeze here.

Outwardly, the Bears have been positive about left tackle Braxton Jones' ability to replace the injured Ozzy Trapilo. But they might still be looking for a bit of extra insurance at the position.

Jacksonville Jaguars left tackle Walker Little has been supplanted as a starter by Cole Van Lanen, but he can still hold up in the NFL. With a late-round pick as a bonus in this deal, Poles could be willing to make a move.
