It may be a slow burn for Chicago Bears fans to get to training camp to officially start the 2026 season, but it won't stop the top players' lists from being released.
NFL players voted on who they believe are in the top 100 going into 2026, as that list has slowly started being released. CBS Sports' Pete Prisco released his full top-100 players list, which includes three Chicago Bears players.
55. Joe Thuney, LG
70. Caleb Williams, QB
100. Colston Loveland, TE
Three Bears land in CBS Sports' top 100 players list
Thuney makes sense as he is arguably the best player on the Bears, as he was an All-Pro and named Protector of the Year in the first year of the award. He finished the 2025 season with 15 pressures, one quarterback hit, and zero sacks allowed, while committing just two penalties. He was the fifth-highest graded interior offensive lineman in the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus, with a grade of 79.4.
Williams is a rising star in the NFL after setting the franchise record for passing yards in a season with 3,942 in his first year under Bears head coach Ben Johnson. Many experts are looking for Williams to take an even bigger leap in 2026, with some even including him in the MVP conversation.
Loveland had a slow start to 2025, but emerged as a top-10 tight end in the NFL by the end of the season. He led the Bears in receiving with 713 yards and six touchdowns.
These three feel like the safest choices for the list, as the defense did not play well enough for anyone to really make the top 100. If Jaylon Johnson can stay healthy in 2026, he should find his way back on the list for 2027.
One player on the Bears who might have an argument for being in the top 100 is right tackle Darnell Wright, after being named as a second-team All-Pro. Despite the large number of penalties, Wright made major strides and is widely considered one of the best right tackles in the NFL. It's a big reason he could be in line for a massive contract extension coming soon.

Overall, this is a fair list with three players worthy of a top-100 spot. Bears fans hope more will be added in 2027 after a big season ahead.
