The Chicago Bears burst onto the scene in 2025 with a magical run that took them farther than anyone expected. After their electric campaign, though, they've remained relatively quiet this offseason. No major trades, no major signings in free agency, just steady roster building.

And what's the fun in that?

The Bears still have a few needs to fill, and we got just a bit reckless in an attempt to address them with these three trades.

3 Bears offseason trade ideas leave no stone unturned

Are Jedrick Wills Jr. and Braxton Jones really enough to feel comfortable in the absence of Ozzy Trapilo? The former hasn't been able to hold down a starting job with the Cleveland Browns, and the latter has been disappointing thus far in his Bears career. If general manager Ryan Poles wants to upgrade, Walker Little is likely his best option.

The current Jacksonville Jaguars tackle is on the last year of his contract and isn't expected to start, so he should be available at a relatively low cost. The Bears should at least check if a couple of late-round draft picks would get a deal done.

Chicago did nothing to address its need for an edge rusher this offseason, with Ben Johnson citing improved coaching as a path to improvement in 2026. While a major trade for a star like Maxx Crosby is likely outside of the realm of possibility, the Bears could still bring in a more modest alternative.

Baron Browning has quietly been a solid edge rusher in recent seasons with both the Denver Broncos and the Arizona Cardinals. His pass-rush win percentage of 16.4% in 2025 ranked higher than any Chicago edge defender. If the Arizona Cardinals are looking to shed some players for future draft capital, this could be a savvy deal for both sides.

Player-for-player trades rarely happen in the NFL, but we'll try one out here. Backup quarterback Tyson Bagent has been the subject of trade rumors all offseason, but the team hasn't moved him yet. As the start of the season gets closer, teams with a need at QB might be willing to make a deal.

The Bears could send Bagent to compete in Cleveland, getting defensive tackle Michael Hall Jr. and a late-round pick from the Browns in exchange. Hall would be an immediate contributor on the interior while serving as a long-term replacement for Grady Jarrett.
