Take Brian Thomas Jr away from the Jaguars offense

Defensively, the Bears' primary focus is likely rookie sensation Brian Thomas Jr. The 23rd overall pick in last April's draft, Thomas has been electric over the first five games of his career. His 397 yards and three touchdowns on 22 receptions all rank best amongst Jaguars receivers, and his yardage total and touchdowns put him at the top of his rookie class. Thomas is also one of just five players in the league with at least 18 yards per reception.

The Bears will certainly have their hands full with Thomas, especially considering the recent injuries amongst the defensive back group. With Jaquan Brisker (concussion) and Terrell Smith (hip) both ruled out and Tyrique Stevenson (calf) listed as doubtful, reserves Elijah Hicks, Jonathan Owens, and Jaylon Jones will have to step up against one of the league's most dangerous pass-catchers.

Keep the Jaguars offense from scoring more than 21 points

Since November 27 of last season, the Bears defense has not allowed more than 21 points in 11 consecutive games, and the group has a great opportunity to continue the streak against the Jaguars. Entering week six, Jacksonville is ranked 21st in the NFL in points per game with just over 19 and only eclipsed 21 points for the first time this season last weekend against the Indianapolis Colts.

Unfortunately for Jacksonville, the Bears' 17 points allowed per game is tied for the fifth-best mark across the league. The defense is also particularly stingy in the red zone, where opponents have only been able to finish with touchdowns 38% of the time, the fifth-best mark around the league. If the Bears can keep the Jaguars out of the endzone, they should be in store for an international win.
