3. The Bears are beating teams they should. There is no shame in being 4-2.

The Bears owe no one any apologies for facing the Los Angeles Rams, Carolina Panthers, and the Jacksonville Jaguars between Week 4-6 who are combined 3-14 after Sunday's win. You still have to play and beat bad teams convincingly if you want to be taken seriously. The Bears have never been able to do it consistently. In the last two weeks, however, they took care of business easily despite starting slow.

It is funny how the national media always tend to downplay when the Bears started winning. They all point to the weak stretch of schedule where Caleb Williams has not faced a real team or weak defense or missing key players on both sides etc.

You can only control the opponents you are facing on a weekly basis. When the NFL schedule is put out every year, no one can ever predict how every team on your schedule will look until you face them. This is equally applicable not just to the Bears but to 31 teams as well.

The offense has now scored five offensive touchdowns consecutively for the first time since 1956(!) thanks to the continual growth of Williams and a revitalized run game that complements the stout defense that always create turnovers.

If you look back historically, the Bears offense has never been able to carry their weight when their defense was dominant like the 2006 Super Bowl season. Ironically when the offense explosive in 2013 under Marc Trestman, it was their defense that dragged them down. And special teams during the heydays of Devin Hester also contributed to winning more than the offense did.

No one should expect the Bears to keep scoring five touchdowns every single game. But the Bears may finally have the offense that can produce enough points on their own to complement the defense. That is something the national media cannot comprehend and does not fit their agenda or propaganda. So don't get too worked up about blowhards on ESPN or Fox Sports says.
