4. Do the Bears finally have their starting offensive line set?

It is no coincidence that the uptick in offensive performance is largely due to Williams's growth and improvements. But his performance is attributed to the improvements made by the much-maligned offensive line. And they may have finally settled on their starting lineup.

Nate Davis seems to be on the outs with the Chicago Bears after being a healthy inactive against the Jaguars. The Bears should move on from Davis and let him seek a new start elsewhere if he is still committed to playing football.

Guard Teven Jenkins played perhaps his best game of this season against the Jaguars and played the entire game. Perhaps seeing Bill Murray play well against the Carolina Panthers once he left the game with an injury lit a fire in him. A healthy and motivated Jenkins makes this line better.

Another much-maligned player, Coleman Shelton has done a decent job at center the last three weeks. So far, we are not seeing any botched snap exchanges that we were accustomed to seeing when Cody Whitehair and Lucas Patrick were under center. Also, he has benefitted from the presence of Matt Pryor, who has replaced Davis in the lineup. He helps handle bigger defensive linemen since Shelton is undersized.

Ryan Bates, who was expected to be the starting center had he not been hurt, is eligible to return from IR. With Bates and rookie Kiran Amegadjie available, the Bears might decide they do not need to trade for a veteran offensive lineman. The Bears must determine if Bates will be an upgrade over Shelton at center or if Shelton has done enough to remain a starter until he is injured. The coaching staff has an interesting decision to make.
