The Chicago Bears manhandled the Carolina Panthers 36-10 on Sunday. But Carolina scored first on their second possession when running back Chuba Hubbard scored on a 38-yard run untouched. Suddenly, the nervousness among the Bears fans kicked into high gear.

But from there, the Bears defense recovered nicely and Caleb Williams and the offense took over the rest of the way. Williams took another massive step in his development by completing 20 for 29 and 304 yards with a 126.2 passer rating.

1. The Bears' offense was the key to a convincing win over the Carolina Panthers.

I wrote in my previous article that the Bears needed to get wide receiver DJ Moore more involved from the start. Williams did, and Moore exploded for 105 yards on 5 catches and two touchdowns, which fueled a five-touchdown effort from the Bears' offense. The speculation about DJ Moore's lack of usage and his sitting on the sideline alone sulking is officially dead now.

Running back D'Andre Swift was once again very effective, gaining 73 yards rushing and 47 yards receiving and scoring a touchdown. It seems like offensive coordinator Shane Waldron may have unlocked Swift's skillset. The Bears' offense switched to a no-huddle up-tempo, which was effective and kept their defense on its heels.

Getting serious production out of both Moore and Swift was encouraging ahead of their game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. It looks like getting called out was a much-needed wake-up call for Waldron.

Waldron deserves credit for implementing an effective game plan the last two weeks and getting the results. His growth and consistency is also important to the development of Williams.
