Training camp is right on the doorstep of starting, and the Chicago Bears fan base has a lot of questions they want answered about certain players on the team.
The position battles that will occur will be the most competitive the franchise has seen in a long time. With the team coming off a division title and playoff win, there is more motivation to get them playing well right away.
Some longtime Bears veterans might have to watch their backs as depth players are coming in and ready to take their jobs. Here are six to keep an eye on during training camp who are ready to make the 53-man roster.
Which 6 Bears players could enter training camp and steal jobs?
Coleman Bennett, RB
Last year, with Kyle Monangai, was proof that the Bears don't care about a player's draft status; they will play them. Outside of Monangai and D'Andre Swift, there is no clear picture of who will be RB3 since Roschon Johnson seems to have lost the confidence of the organization and the fans. It's the perfect opportunity for undrafted rookie Bennett to come in and take the final spot on the depth chart.
Jordan van den Berg, DT
The Bears signed three defensive tackles in free agency, but most people have been intrigued by Berg, a sixth-round pick of Chicago this year who has been compared to another Bear, Grady Jarrett. Not all sixth-round picks make the 53-man roster, so don't give him the job yet. Berg is good enough of a run stopper, though, that he could make the team just by doing that.
Scotty Miller, WR
Miller has been in the NFL for a long time, so he knows what it takes to be a good, reliable receiver. The Bears have Rome Odunze and Luther Burden III, but there is a long battle at WR3. Miller most likely doesn't beat out Kalif Raymond for that spot, but there's a chance he could take one of the final spots, or if a sixth receiver slot is open, that could be his.
Tony Fields II, LB
The linebacker position has undergone some changes, and the unit is really one of the biggest question marks about who is going to make the roster. Fields, at least, is in football shape after playing the last few months in the UFL. He was one of the top tacklers in the league and has shown to be a great depth player and special teams ace candidate in the NFL, so with how the injury situation was last year in Chicago at linebacker, Fields can easily make the team.
Caden Barnett, OG
Chicago's offensive line saw a couple of changes to the starting lineup, but the bench seems to be about the same as last year. With that being said, there is significant buzz around Barnett being one of the undrafted rookies who could steal a roster spot. Give him a chance at training camp, and he might be a surprising pick to either back up Joe Thuney or Jonah Jackson in Week 1.

Dallis Flowers, CB
Flowers has played well in preseason in the past, but could never get over the hump. The Bears might be more intrigued to give him a chance after losing five key players in the secondary this offseason. This might be the year where Flowers can earn a final spot and help out more on special teams early on.
