During a resurgent season for the Chicago Bears, wide receiver DJ Moore was part of a couple of unforgettable epic moments. He had not one, but two improbable game-winning touchdown catches against the rival Green Bay Packers, in Week 16 and the Wild Card Round.
But overall, the 2025 campaign was the worst of Moore's career. He had career lows in receptions (50) and receiving yards (682), as he was regularly an afterthought in the Chicago passing game. That fall down the pecking order has fueled the notion Moore could be traded this offseason, and general manager Ryan Poles didn't exactly dismiss it when he could have.
During a recent segment on CBS Sports HQ with anchor Amanda Guerra, CBS Sports NFL analysts Tyler Sullivan and John Breech talked about five potential NFL trades that could shake up the league this offseason.
An obvious DJ Moore trade suitor the Bears can't ignore is all the way out there now
One of those hypothetical trades of course had to do with Moore, with the Baltimore Ravens as his destination.
Guerra noted how some Bears' fans are "flipping out" over the idea Moore could be traded. Breech took it from there.
"Yeah, Bears fans would probably hate this trade", Breech said. "But if you're Chicago, and you're looking toward the future, it's not that crazy....You look at what the Bears have done the last few years, they have young receivers in Luther Burden and Rome Odunze. So you have guys to build around. If you unload DJ Moore, now you pick up a lot of salary cap space and you focus on developing those young receivers."
"If you're Baltimore, this makes sense, because you're thinking, 'look, we know we have one receiver in Zay Flowers', yet they don't really have anyone behind that (in terms of wide receivers)."
Breech finished his thoughts with what fortifies the Ravens as a potential trade suitor for Moore.
"One other reason this could make a little bit of sense for Baltimore. Let's not forget who their offensive coordinator is. Declan Doyle, who was the OC in Chicago last season. So he has already worked with DJ Moore. Maybe Moore would be up for a reunion in Baltimore."
When it was his turn, Sullivan expanded to include Colston Loveland in the Bears' group of pass catchers, which pushes Moore even further toward the trade block.
The Ravens don't have an abundance of pass-catching riches, and potential free-agent departures are likely to thin those ranks, pending moves to replace them. Even with a coaching change after moving on from John Harbaugh, they are also in a pressurized win-now window as long as Lamar Jackson is their quarterback.
With a clear need to surround a star quarterback in his prime with better skill position talent, the Ravens are in the same boat as several other teams in that regard. But when it comes to likely being a seamless fit in a new team's offense, Moore going to Baltimore makes more sense than any other trade idea out there so far.

And as another easily viable suitor emerges, the Bears' leverage in any trade talks regarding Moore continues to grow.
