Chicago Bears fans are still feeling the sting from Declan Doyle leaving the team to take the Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator job, despite everyone understanding why.
Doyle played a key role in the Bears' offense, finishing in the top five in total offense despite head coach Ben Johnson calling the plays. The development of key players like Caleb Williams, Kyle Monangai, Colston Loveland, Luther Burden, and Ozzy Trapilo really set the tone for the franchise's future, thanks in part to Doyle's coaching.
With Doyle now out of the building and in Baltimore, there is a very real chance the Ravens could target some offensive players in Chicago to run Doyle's system the way he wants, since they know him well. One Bears player seems to fit that role easily and could benefit from a change of scenery.
DJ Moore should follow Declan Doyle to Baltimore
While DJ Moore showed tremendous toughness and strong leadership, with resilience throughout the year, 2025 was not his best season by any stretch of the imagination. Moore finished with 50 receptions (career-low) for 682 yards (also a career-low) and six touchdowns in 17 games.
The Bears see Moore as more expendable, since the team has seen strong play from others in the passing game. Loveland and Burden exceeded expectations in their rookie season, and Rome Odunze, when healthy, is the team's top receiver, so it would make it easier for the Bears to consider moving on from Moore.
It's about 50-50 whether Moore will be moved off the team, with some fans feeling he has regressed from 2024 to 2025. Some feel that because of his contract, it might be too soon to let him go.
Baltimore could use another wide receiver, as DeAndre Hopkins is a free agent, and their only other good receiver is Zay Flowers. To put into perspective the need at receiver for the Ravens, Flowers had 1,211 yards in 2025. Hopkins was second among Ravens receivers in yards with 422.

Doyle needs more production from his Ravens receivers, and the Bears have a perfect veteran they could trade away to help Baltimore with that. Chicago would be wise to at least take some calls from other NFL teams about trading Moore. Especially if it is Baltimore on the phone, looking to bring him in.
