Every Chicago Bears fan is following their social media accounts to see what the latest leaks reveal about the 2026 schedule.

The latest news for the Bears is that they will play the Minnesota Vikings in Week 2 of the NFL season at 12:00 pm CST, according to the X account "NFL Nerd." This is the second Bears-Vikings game to be leaked, as the Bears will be playing them to close out the year in Week 18.

Last year, the Bears lost the first matchup against the Vikings 27-24 in Week 1 of the NFL season on Monday Night Football. Later in the year, Chicago got their revenge with a last-second field goal, beating the Vikings in Minnesota.

Bears-Vikings now have both games confirmed for the 2026 season

Of course, the NFC North aspect of the rivalry is a big factor in why this is such a good game on the calendar, but it also has multiple storylines to monitor. Minnesota could be either two weeks into the Kyler Murray era at quarterback or watching J.J. McCarthy try to keep his job as the Vikings' starter.

It'll be good for the Bears to face an NFC North opponent early in the year, helping them get off to a faster start than they did last year. Chicago lost the first matchups against all three division rivals, so they would like to change that.

Still, this means the Bears have a very challenging first three weeks of the season. They will have to play the defending NFC South champion Carolina Panthers, the Vikings, who went 9-8 last year, and the defending NFC East champion Philadelphia Eagles.

Chicago will be tested very early in the year, but a win against the Vikings would go a long way in helping them try to reclaim the NFC North division title.
