The NFL could not get over the play in the Chicago Bears' 31-3 win over the Cleveland Browns involving Caleb Williams.
In the third quarter, Williams connected with DJ Moore on an impressive 22-yard touchdown with the star quarterback throwing off his back foot with pressure and Moore catching it with multiple defenders around him at the back of the end zone. That wasn't the play everyone should be talking about, though, as there was another equally incredible play earlier in the contest on special teams that no one is talking about.
After going three and out on the first drive, Bears punter Troy Taylor booted the ball 45 yards down the fall, but it was special teams ace Josh Blackwell down the field to prevent the ball from going into the end zone as Chicago pinned the Browns down at the one-yard line. That was a play that Bears special teams coordinator Richard Hightower couldn't get over seeing.
“Unbelievable play by Blackwell," Hightower said via CHGO. "One of the best I’ve seen in a long, long time.”
Blackwell continues to shine on the Bears' special teams
That has really been the case for Blackwell this season, as he has been one of the best special teams players in the NFL, making highlight plays multiple times. Bears fans might remember that, in Week 4 against the Las Vegas Raiders, it was Blackwell who got the game-winning field goal block to help Chicago get the win.
This season, Blackwell has eight tackles, one fumble recovery, and one field goal block. He also has 11 kickoff returns for 283 yards, averaging 25.7 yards per return.

Nobody gives enough love to the special teams for the Bears, but Blackwell is the one star on that side of the ball every Bears fan knows and loves, and he's earned every ounce of that respect.
