Ugh....another disappointing injury report from the Chicago Bears, as it is not looking good for the wide receivers, Rome Odunze and Luther Burden III.

The Bears released the second injury report for Week 16 as the team prepares for their NFC North battle with the Green Bay Packers. Chicago has a small issue with three players who did not practice, including Odunze, Burden, and linebacker Amen Ogbongbmiga.

Three more players were listed as limited with linebacker Tremaine Edmunds, tight end Cole Kmet, and running back D'Andre Swift. Here's the complete look at the injury report for the Bears:

12/17/2025 Bears Injury Update

  • Luther Burden III, WR (Ankle, DNP)
  • Rome Odunze, WR (Foot, DNP)
  • Amen Ogbongbmiga, LB (Hamstring, DNP)
  • Tremaine Edmunds, LB (Groin, Limited)
  • Cole Kmet, TE (Ankle/Knee, Limited)
  • D'Andre Swift, RB (Groin, Limited)
  • Tyson Bagent, QB (Illness, Full)
  • Andrew Billings, DL (Illness, Full)
  • Travis Homer, RB (Ankle, Full)

Chicago's offense looks banged up at the worst time

Odunze is in danger of missing his third straight game after not playing in the first Packers game and the Cleveland Browns' Week 15 blowout win. Burden injured his ankle in that Browns game, and it appears to be severe enough for him not to practice.

It's looking more like DJ Moore and Olamide Zaccheaus might both move up the depth chart and be the number one and two receivers on the team. Moore has been emerging over the weeks and could be in for a breakout performance.

The Bears also have to monitor the Kmet and Swift injuries, as if they don't have Odunze and Burden, they can't afford any more injuries to pop up. While they have reliable other options in rookies Colston Loveland and Kyle Monangai, the Bears need all hands on deck for the Packers.

Edmunds' practicing again is encouraging, as he just had his 21-day practice window open. It would be a bit of a stretch to see him play, so expect Week 15 NFC Defensive Player of the Week D'Marco Jackson to step up and still help out T.J. Edwards and Noah Sewell at linebacker.

The hope is that the final injury report will at least have Odunze and Burden practicing and being questionable, but it is not looking good for the Bears going into the Packers game in the passing game.
