One thing that has become clear to every Chicago Bears fan this year is that Caleb Williams doesn't have many fans in the broadcast booth.
From Troy Aikman to Adam Archuleta, game analysts have been very critical of Williams, from his decision-making to taking too much time to make the throw. The one aspect of his game that they refuse to discuss is how he comes up big when the Bears need him the most.
On three different occasions this year, Williams has led the Bears on final drives that led to the game-winning score or the go-ahead lead late in the game, including his game-winning 58-yard score to beat the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 10. If fans include the 2024 finale against the Green Bay Packers, that would be four times he's done it.
Bears offensive coordinator Declan Doyle gave Williams high praise for how he changes in an instant when the game is on the line.
"What makes him special is in those moments where it kind of speeds up for everyone else, it doesn't really speed up for him. In some ways, it slows down. He has great poise in those moments. He has great leadership in those moments. Our guys feel really comfortable with him in those moments."
Williams isn't perfect, but he's proving that he's a winner
The Bears' franchise quarterback had a quarterback rating of 114.8 against the Bengals, the second-highest of the season. Williams also had four total touchdowns, tied for the most in 2025, and 280 yards passing, the third most on the season.
So far in the season, Williams has thrown for 1,916 yards and 12 touchdowns to four interceptions. He also has had 183 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground with a receiving touchdown.
If there is one aspect of Williams' game that Bears fans want to see get better, it is his accuracy. The completion percentage took another dip, dropping to 61.5% for the season, which is a full percentage point below where he was at the end of the 2024 season.

Once again, all Bears fans understand that Williams is not a finished product, as he continues to work with head coach Ben Johnson on improving. However, as long as he keeps winning, everything is good in the Windy City.
