ESPN commentator Troy Aikman has been one of the top A-team broadcasters in the NFL over the last two-plus decades, but he definitely has his lovers and haters.

Chicago Bears fans weren't particularly loving his commentary during the team's incredible 25-24 last-second win over the Washington Commanders. Some of the complaints were that Aikman was usually very critical of the Bears and Caleb Williams. He called the Williams touchdown pass to D'Andre Swift "lucky" and seemed to find a way to get a jab or two in there on the Bears, while praising Jayden Daniels and the Commanders.

While the Bears got the last laugh with the win, it sparked comments after the game, including from Chicago's favorite head coach, Ben Johnson. The day after the win, Johnson appeared on ESPN Chicago and couldn't help himself with a perfect, subtle callout of Aikman early in the interview.

"It sounded like from that game the other night, a few people weren't particularly pleased with how we are winning right now. I woke up this morning and my kids were watching the second half before school, so I heard some of the commentary."

Johnson is fitting into Chicago well

There is no apology needed from Johnson after the team is on their three-game winning streak and catching the attention of the league. It was the signature win that Johnson and Williams needed to put them on the map.

The biggest key to the game was turnovers, as the Bears didn't commit any, while Washington had three. During the winning streak, Chicago has caused 11 turnovers in three games.

While there are some things to clean up, like the penalties, this Bears defense is getting into a rhythm. They are getting healthy at the right time and are playing like a team, something not seen much a year ago.

Aikman can take his shots all he wants, but the Bears are rolling, and if he doesn't like how they are winning, Chicago sure doesn't care at all.
