It's time to put some respect on Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams' name after he once again led the Bears on a game-winning scoring drive to close out the Washington Commanders 25-24 in Week 6 action.

A fumble by the Commanders on their final offensive drive gave the Bears over three minutes to go down the field and set up a game-winning field goal. Williams, like he did two weeks ago against the Las Vegas Raiders, conducted a perfect drive to help his kicker, Jake Moody, be in a position to win the game. Moody did just that with a 38-yarder to give the Bears their third consecutive win.

After the game. Williams spoke with the media as he discussed how the team handles these close games and manages not to let the moment get too big for them.

"It's big because we know we can win these games in those moments. When the game is close, defense does a good job stopping them. We go down and score and the defense goes back out and stops them or whatever the case. We know that we can win these games in these moments, in these big moments. We would like to win by 30, but that's not always the case, and that's not always going to be the case, and so being able to know we can win these games is really important."

Williams puts on another solid display, helping the Bears to another win

It was yet another solid outing for Williams, even if it wasn't perfect with some off-target throws. He finished with 17 of 29 passes being completed for 252 yards and one touchdown pass and one rushing score in the win.

A big part of what helped the offense and Williams find some openings in the passing game was the running game. D'Andre Swift had over 100 yards in the win and was able to catch Williams' lone touchdown pass that went for 55 yards.

Williams seemed to be more off target with his passes earlier in the game, but he steadily improved by making better decisions as the game went on. There were at least two throws that should have been picked off, but he was able to dust off the dirt from his shoulders and continue to play on.
