There was plenty to celebrate after the Chicago Bears stunned the Washington Commanders 25-24 on Monday Night Football, but some grim news came in after the game.

Earlier in the game, Bears wide receiver DJ Moore had gotten off to a hot start before getting hurt and stepping off the field for a bit. He returned on the next drive and played through the game.

After the game, he was seen with Bears wide receiver coach Antwaan Randle El going to the local hospital for evaluation. The team reported that Moore would stay overnight for evaluation, but it isn't clear what the injury is.

Horrible way to end the night for such a good performance from Moore

It's a tough break, as Moore had a rough end to what was one of his better games of the season. He had not had the kind of impact that most people thought he would, with Rome Odunze being the number one receiver and rookie Luther Burden III showing flashes of what he can do.

Moore finished the game with three receptions for 42 yards, all in the first half. He also had two rushes for 10 yards, including a six-yard run.

The focus now for the Bears will be on ensuring Moore is okay and receives the care he needs. He's an important piece to the offense as Bears head coach Ben Johnson loves to move him around from receiver to lining up in the backfield.

His veteran leadership is also needed on a relatively young offense led by 2024 first-round picks Caleb Williams and Odunze. Moore is the guy who can help keep them calm and focused with the task at hand.

There should be an update on Moore soon to determine the severity of the injury, but Bears fans are just hoping for good news to come out of it.
