That's not good.

Just hours before the Chicago Bears try to pull off the upset over the Washington Commanders, they gave the fan base some bad news on the injury front, and who will not play.

The team announced several moves, starting with elevating defensive tackle Jonathan Ford and kicker Jake Moody from the practice squad to the active roster. They also announced that defensive end Austin Booker and running back Travis Homer were downgraded to being out for the game.

Booker and Homer were both listed as questionable for the game after having their practice windows opened from them being on IR. They practice fully all week, but the Bears are going to err on the side of caution with rushing them back onto the field.

Key players out for Bears while some are sparking some questions of availability

Ford being called up is because Grady Jarrett was listed as out for the game with a knee injury. That'll leave some concern with the Bears in terms of stopping the run at tackle, and fans will have to monitor how much Ford gets into the game.

The other interesting roster move was moving up Moody for the first time since signing him to the practice squad last month. Starting kicker Cairo Santos had been listed as questionable going into the game with a thigh injury despite also practicing all week.

Chicago fans can at least be happy in knowing that linebacker T.J. Edwards and cornerback Kyler Gordon are good to play in the game. This will be Edwards' second start of the season, while Gordon is making his season debut.

The Bears will for the most part be at full strength with their starting lineups outside of Jarrett and Jaylon Johnson, who is out with his groin injury. Chicago seems all set to get their revenge on the Commanders.
