Bears’ draft haul flips Super Bowl betting landscape overnight

The 2025 NFL Draft brought us a few surprises from the Chicago Bears that could be considered good or bad, depending upon how you look at them.

Whether or not you saw the Colston Loveland pick coming at no. 10 overall, it's hard to deny the type of talent the Bears got there. The former Michigan tight end comes in as an overly-gifted physical specimen who can be a real threat after the catch. Plus, he's a strong blocker.

We could go on and on about Loveland, but the Bears didn't waste any time adding even more firepower in Round 2 when they somehow lucked into landing Missouri wide receiver Luther Burden III. You'd be hard-pressed to find any other wide receiver, in this class, who matched Burden's electric playmaking ability.

Throughout the draft, the Bears seemed to simply go with the best player available on their board, and to be frank, that's how championships are won. Speaking of championships, the draft saw betting odds take a huge shift of momentum after only two days.

No other team had more Super Bowl bets placed on them between Day 2 and Day 3 of the draft than the Bears.

Once again, offseason hype is at an all-time high for the Bears

The jokes can continue to be made about Chicago "winning the offseason" so many years in a row, but this year has felt completely different.

Is it an overreaction to bet on the Bears to win the Super Bowl at this stage? To be quite frank, the answer is a resounding 'yes.'

It is absolutely ludicrous to think that, in April, the Bears will be hoisting a Lombardi Trophy come February 2026. But at the same time, it is only April.

If you were one who bet the Bears to win the Super Bowl at +3600 over the weekend, then you could be sitting mighty pretty come next year. It sounds absurd to say the Bears are going to be Super Bowl champs, this early on, but it could happen.

If all goes well and the Bears hit their ceiling under first-year head coach Ben Johnson while Caleb Williams becomes everything this organization believes he can become, in a hurry, then maybe we're looking at a 2-time Super Bowl champ next year.
