Chicago Bears fans, this might be an article read too many times, but once again, the team is facing an injury to a starter in the secondary.

Multiple Bears reporters, including CHGO's Adam Hoge, reported that safety Jaquan Brisker walked off the field with a trainer and was shortly afterwards taken off on a cart into the Bears' facilities. The extent of his injury is unknown.

Brisker has a recent history of injuries, as he missed all but five games last year due to a concussion that caused him to lose time. He finished the season with 40 tackles, three tackles for loss, two pass deflections, one quarterback hit, one sack, one interception, and one forced fumble.

Bears can't afford to lose anyone more in the secondary

Training camp has not been so kind to the Bears when it comes to what's going on in the secondary. Jaylon Johnson and Zah Frazier each missed all of training camp for different reasons. Johnson used that time to recover from his injury, while Frazier is dealing with some personal issues, so he will not play in the 2025 season.

There were moments in camp as well where more injuries were piling up for them. Kyler Gordon missed time as he was injured, but has since returned. Shaun Wade was not as lucky, as he was placed on IR for the season.

It has certainly become a concern that essentially every starter outside of Tyrique Stevenson and Kevin Byard III has been hurt or out at some point. While the good news is that none of them have seemed serious, outside of Brisker's unknown injury, there are questions about why it keeps happening.

Bears fans will be waiting for an update to come in the next few days and hope for some good news as Brisker is a force when he is on the field.
