A chapter begins for a now Chicago Bears player after being cut from the team on Tuesday, as he found a new home within 24 hours of the Bears letting him go.
The Chicago Tribune's Brad Biggs reported on Wednesday that former Bears tight end Joel Wilson was expected to sign with the Tennessee Titans. Wilson is expected to join Tennessee's practice squad.

Wilson seemed to have thrived in Bears head coach Ben Johnson's offense as he led the team in receptions during the preseason with 11. He added 85 yards and one touchdown in three games. Wilson previously played for the New Orleans Saints, Buffalo Bills, Green Bay Packers, and New York Giants.
While Wilson performed well, Bears were deep at tight end
The Windy City had a lot of good tight ends, and it was too tough to keep all of them. It's easy for a tight end to succeed in an offense that is very friendly to the position.
Rookie first-round pick Colston Loveland and Cole Kmet were the locks to make the 53-man roster. The other one to make it was Durham Smythe, as he beat out Stephen Carlson, who just joined the Bears' practice squad
Wilson proved to be a great receiver for the Bears, and if he can fine-tune his blocking, he could be the full package. The Bears were most likely hoping he would clear waivers to re-sign with them on their practice squad, but the Titans can use some depth at the tight end position.

Chicago saw a lot of players leave and was able to keep many of them, but Wilson was the one that got away, and they will have to make do with what they have to work with.
