Bears fans starting to get nervous about D'Andre Swift after Week 9 update

Okay when is he coming back?

The Chicago Bears' first injury report of Week 9 was scary to look at, but the second update is better, with a small concern growing.

Once again, there were five players who didn't practice, with the least concerning being starting left guard Joe Thuney, who sat out to rest. The one that has everyone's attention is running back D'Andre Swift, who has now sat out of two practices with a groin injury. Also not practicing are wide receiver Luther Burden III (concussion), running back Roschon Johnson (back), and defensive end Dominque Robinson (ankle).

The good news is that three of the wide receivers who sat out of practice earlier were back for the second one. Rome Odunze (heel), Olamide Zaccheaus (knee), and DJ Moore (heel) were all limited in practice.

Things getting better for Chicago, but Swift's injury is becoming a problem

Typically, over the last two weeks, Swift has usually missed just one practice and then been limited in the two weeks following. This time around, it feels different as he has not practiced at all. It's starting to look like it's going to be 50-50 on whether he actually plays against the Cincinnati Bengals or not.

It's great to see at least three of the wide receivers practicing, but they will be a bit banged up going into the Bengals matchup. Burden is starting to look like he could be missing his first game of the season since he is still in concussion protocol.

A relief for Bears fans is to see Stevenson being a full participant and looks to be in line to start on the outside. With Chicago facing arguably the best wide receiver duo in the NFL with Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase, Stevenson has to play in this game to give them a chance.

The injury report is looking better and better, but there is a good chance the Bears will be without several players for this Bengals game.
