Brace yourselves, Chicago Bears fans, this final Week 8 injury report before the Baltimore Ravens showdown is about as bad as it gets.
Starting with who is out, five players will not be playing in the game. Two cornerbacks, Kyler Gordon (groin/calf) and Tyrique Stevenson (shoulder), are both out. Also out is tight end Cole Kmet (back), the first game of his career dating back to 2020, that he will ever miss. Other key offensive players out include running back Roschon Johnson (back) and left tackle Braxton Jones (knee).
The Bears have four players who are listed as questionable:
- D'Andre Swift, RB (groin)
- Austin Booker, DE (knee)
- Amen Ogbongbemiga, LB (knee)
- Cairo Santos, K (right thigh)
If the Bears need some good news, defensive tackle Grady Jarrett has no injury designation, which means he will play for the first time since Week 3 against the Dallas Cowboys, where he hurt his knee. On offense, left guard Joe Thuney (rest) and wide receiver DJ Moore (hip) are good to play in Week 8 as well. For the defense, linebacker Tremaine Edmunds (ankle) and cornerback Nahshon Wright (hip) are set to play.
Where do Bears fans want to start with this injury report?
Let's be blunt: if Lamar Jackson is back for the Ravens at quarterback, he is going to have a field day on this secondary. Chicago has lost all three of their starting cornerbacks for the game, leaving Wright to handle CB1 duties.
Kmet being out is tough for a guy who knows he's got something to prove to the Bears in 2025 after all the trade rumors earlier in the year. Rookie first-round pick Colston Loveland will have his shot to prove to the Bears and the fan base that he was worthy of that top 10 pick.
The only good thing that came from this report was Jarrett finally returning. Bears fans have been waiting about a month to see back, and it comes at the perfect time to try to contain Ravens running back Derrick Henry.
Even though Swift is listed as questionable, it still feels like he will play. He was in the same situation last week before the New Orleans Saints game, and hopefully, he will be able to play.
Santos being questionable has been a sight that Bears fans have seen over the last two weeks. Thankfully, Jake Moody is playing good football, so there's no reason to rush Santos back if he isn't 100% healthy.

This is a crushing injury report, seemingly endless in the number of injuries. The Bears will have to truly claw their way to a fifth straight win against the Ravens.
