The Chicago Bears have released their Week 4 inactives, and once again, Caleb Williams is not going to be active for the second straight game against the New York Jets.
Williams is recovering from his hamstring injury he suffered during the Bears' Week 2 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. He is expected to possibly miss one or two more games.
Here's a look at the full inactive list for the Bears:
- Caleb Williams, QB
- Cam Lewis, DB
- Jamree Kromah, DL
- James Lynch, DL
- Ozzy Trapilo, OL
- Jayden Loving, DL
Caleb Williams is out for the Bears for the second straight game
The Bears are reportedly rolling with Tyson Bagent as the starting quarterback and Case Keenum as the backup for Williams. Keenum started and won his start against the Eagles by 20 points in Week 3.
One of the biggest surprises of the list is Lynch being inactive after being one of the team's best defensive tackles. In fact, he got the start in the Week 2 loss to the Vikings and play well.
Trapilo is once again out, but is coming close to being back in the lineup. Braxton Jones was placed on IR and Theo Benedet is starting at left tackle in the Jets game. There's a good chance that Trapilo could be back for Week 5 as a starter.
Lewis is also out for the Bears, as he was listed as doubtful on the final injury report. He was not expecting to be in the Jets game and now add some interesting questions for the starting lineup in the secondary. Rookie Malik Muhammad should get the start at nickel, while Tyrique Stevenson at CB2.
The Bears have everything they need to prep for an interesting Jets game that might not be as easy as some thought. Chicago has some injuries in the secondary, but New York has lost multiple starters on offense going into the game.
One storyline will be to watch how the Bears' quarterback position looks with Bagent getting the start. If he struggles, many wonder if Keenum would jump in right away and replace Bagent.

Bears fans are hoping that they can pick up the win and move to 3-1 on the year. That remains to be seen depending on how this game plays out for this Bears team.
