You rarely see NFL trades at this time of the year, but when teams reconvene to training camp, it can always open the lines right back up.
If the Chicago Bears are going to be listening to phone calls this summer, who might be that is calling?
Four Bears who could be on the trade block in 2025
DJ Moore
The Bears could reasonably trade DJ Moore. His contract is not unmanageable, his age is not yet to the point where his value decreases, and his play warrants the attention of any team. He does not seem to mesh well with Caleb Williams. If Luther Burden III and Rome Odunze ascend alongside Colston Loveland, those will be the primary weapons for Williams' future. That does not include Moore, so why not take advantage of his value while it is at its highest?
Cole Kmet
When the Bears selected Colston Loveland 10th overall, the thought immediately shifted to what that means for Cole Kmet. Tight ends take time to adjust, and Loveland will be a role player for now, but that does not mean the team will not listen if the phone starts to ring. The Steelers have already explored other tight ends, do they call for Kmet?
Braxton Jones
It is not every day that a starting left tackle with 40 starts in three seasons is available before the season starts, so that could fetch Jones a pretty penny on the market. Jones is coming off an injury, but that has allowed rookie Ozzy Trapilo to slide into starting snaps at left tackle. If the Bears feel good about the rookie, they may be best moving on from Jones before he leaves in free agency.

Austin Booker
The Bears changed defensive schemes, and with that, it appears Booker is further down on the totem pole than he used to be. Dennis Allen likes big, long defenders, and Booker is a pass rush specialist because his size does not hold up well. This is not a fit, but it is only his second NFL season so the Bears may be able to get anything in return before he sits on the bench for this defense.
